The First Day

When you get your new tattoo, leave the bandage on until you get home. Remove the bandage and gently wash the tattoo with warm, soapy water. Rinse the tattoo and pat dry with a clean towel. Apply a paper-thin layer of dye-free, fragrance-free lotion, or any tattoo aftercare skin product that you prefer. You want to do this once or twice a day, or as often as needed. Too much water or lotion can cause major scabbing, cause ink to come out, and even scar.

You can take Tylenol for swelling, Advil for pain.

Healing Process

The healing process should be quite simple if you are following the aftercare instructions correctly. You want the tattoo to have a flaky, sun-burn type look during the healing process, to much ointment or water, or not enough, can cause the tattoo to scab. Which can lead to  fading, scaring, and a bad experience.

Remember- Tylenol for pain, Advil for swelling.

We are always here to help, call or reach out on Facebook.

Special Attention

Keep an eye out for your tattoo. It is considered an open wound. Even more, its permanent! Sleeping on it, bumping into things, not washing it, not using a lotion, swimming, picking at scabs, over washing or over moisturizing, can all be avoided if you take proper care.

You do not want an infection, faded tattoo, or scarring that could have been avoided with 2 - 6 weeks of proper care.
